Ted Leonhardt characterizes himself as a personal trainer for design firms who want to get in shape - he develops a completely individualized program for every client. Ted helps companies adapt to the future by understanding the changes in the marketplace and developing new offers in response to needs and opportunities that didn't even exist a few years ago. For the third year in a row, AIGA Colorado's Bordo Bello is about breathing life into the Denver arts community. One of our goals is to open up and expand the design community to incorporate the related artistic fields that help shape our culture. This event is a chance to reveal in the enthusiastic creative community and support the future of our flourishing design and art community by helping youth programs. Bordo Bello accomplishes this through funding AIGA Colorado's mentorship programs, which include VSA arts Colorado/Access Gallery, a program that helps provide opportunities for artists with disabilities; Youth Design Denver, a high school design internship program; and the Robert Taylor AIGA Colorado Robert Taylor Scholarship Fund for college students.
This year we have, once again, registered over 200 artists from the greater Denver area and across the nation. We have three different student groups participating and a handful of mentor contributions within the event.
So much fun will happen that night! Not only will everyone be bidding on unique, one-of-a-kind skate board designs, the night's festivities also include a raffle, the Yellow Designs Stunt Team, the YesPleaseMore Social Media Photo Booth, live graffiti art and music provided by ArtistRoster.
To satiate ones appetite, we will be serving deliciousness by The Denver Biscuit Company, PopChips, Perky Jerky. Also Odell Brewing Company has partnered with us to provide beer for the evening.
Come out and spend the evening with local artists, designers, and skateboard enthusiasts to show your support! Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
