Why AIGA CO's Commitment to Education is Important

AIGACO is committed to furthering the field of design through education.Colorado's thriving design community is built on the relationships between the AIGA student groups and the professional design community. This is done through strategic relationships with key design firms and the AIGA professionals in Colorado.

AIGA CO helps transition students from academia to the professional world of design. We do this through several main initiatives outlined below:

  • Student Events: Connecting local and national designers with students. AIGA Student members can attend most AIGA Colorado events at no cost. education@aigacolorado.org
  • Mentoring program: Connects students interested in design with professional designer committed to making a difference.mentorship@aigacolorado.org
  • Scholarship program: Connects students interested in design with professional designer committed to making a difference.scholarship@aigacolorado.org
  • Jobs & Portfolio: Student and professional members can post their portfolios at no charge at http://www.aiga.com. Members can post job listings at reduced rates.
  • Point Education journal: Connects students and faculty together from all over Colorado; (In Development)
These events, tools and resources are at your disposal as an AIGA student member. AIGA CO hopes to elevate your career by putting you in touch with others from the community that can help you more clearly define your path to success.

NASAD Accredited Colorado Design Schools

NASAD accredits approximately 277 institutions located throughout the United States. To be an accredited member of NASAD, an institution must demonstrate to peer reviewers that it meets and maintains basic threshold standards outlined in the NASAD Handbook. Thus, NASAD institutional Membership provides an assurance that each accredited institution has implemented all standards of the Association applicable to the art and design programs it offers.

Although the Association provides a list of accredited institutional members that have met its published standards, it, like all other accrediting bodies, does not rank institutions or programs.

Below is a list of accredited institutional members in Colorado.

  • Metropolitan State College of Denver
  • Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design
